The Fallen Monarch

2018

The Fallen Monarch is an adult remembering her childhood in England from a shore in America. She shivers as she walks along the sand and plays out her own tea party ceremony, like a child would with stuffed toys. As she slurps and spills tea from the top of her head she looks over the ocean to see her country falling due to the new Brexit policies.

Lovely, Lovely Vermin

2020

The creatures of “Lovely, Lovely Vermin” serve the role of uncertainty within the world of The Fantastic. The bodies of two dancers intertwine with each other, pushing and pulling, trying to discover their relationship to one another. As they dance they infiltrate my home, fulfilling their roles as vermin and exchanging the gift of uncertainty to me. For uncertainty must exist in a truly fantastic world. The costumes were knitted on a domestic knitting machine and the video was filmed and directed by myself.
Performers are dancers Caroline Sharky and Jake Nahor.

Consumed Bodies Performance

2019

Consumed bodies explores my journey to reclaim my body after experiencing violation. My body is multiplied in this collection to reflect this experience. Each body has a distinct action as they roam aimlessly through a fantastical dreamscape. They read as eat me, drink me and send me away. The costumes are made utilizing mold making and sewing techniques. The materials include silicone, nylon, cotton and flock-ing. The full performance is 20 minutes.
